  • "I'm Your Biggest Fanatic" is also the only season 2 episode on this DVD.
• The back cover of this DVD contains pictures from the following episodes:

  • "Shell of a Man"
• Animatics on this DVD provide only certain scenes and not the entire episodes.
• This DVD was re-released sometime in 2011.
• This DVD includes previews for various shows and other Nickelodeon DVDs. These include Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, older SpongeBob DVDs and VHS tapes, The Fairly OddParents DVDs and VHS tapes, and Duel Masters DVDs and VHS tapes.
• This is the first SpongeBob DVD to contain season 4 episodes.

• This is the last SpongeBob DVD release to use the impact font cover style. The next DVD called Absorbing Favorites has the Nickelodeon splat part, but the title font is different from impact.
• The Japanese cover has red and green colored text, the part that is white on the American cover is orange, and the Nickelodeon logo used is the one used from Friend or Foe? to Season 5 Volume 2.
• Region 2 and 4 releases remove all of the special features for unknown reasons.

• On the menu of the special features, "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V" is labeled "Superfriends," which is the episode's working title. However, it is listed as its final title on the back of the DVD and on the menu of the bonus episodes.
• On the DVD cover, half of Dr. Peter Lankton's body is cut off. On the special features menu, his full body can be seen.
