Frank the Whale is a whale seen only in "Ripped Pants" and "You Don't Know Sponge." In "Ripped Pants," he first appears emerging out of the sand, saying that the people who buried him in the sand forgot about him. He is then seen singing and playing the drums during the "Ripped Pants" song with SpongeBob.

He appears again in "You Don't Know Sponge," where he hears Patrick making whale sounds. Frank heard Patrick's whale sound and thought it was his ex-wife, Martha, calling until his friend assures him it is not.

He is dark gray in appearnce and lighter on the underside. Frank can be seen wearing a green shirt, red tie, briefcase, and hat in "You Don't Know Sponge" and blue swimtrunks in "Ripped Pants."
