The comic opens with showing Squidward looking out his window saying, "Oh no..." He is looking at SpongeBob's house. Squidward sees that Patrick is heading towards SpongeBob's house. Squidward says that he will not be able to have piece and quiet. Patrick knocks on SpongeBob's door and asks if SpongeBob is in. Patrick starts singing a song about SpongeBob.

SpongeBob opens the door and greet Patrick, which surprises Patrick. He screams. Patrick asks if he can borrow some wrapping paper. he says that it is a secret why he is using it. SpongeBob says that he can use some. Patrick asks if SpongeBob has any that is sparkly. SpongeBob says that he has some left over. SpongeBob digs into a treasure chest. He throws out a tape, a hammer, a snow globe, a map, a teddy bear, a pair of Groucho Marx glasses, a bone, and a shoe.
SpongeBob opens the door, and Patrick asks if he can borrow some wrapping paper, and that it's a secret why he is using it. SpongeBob digs through some stuff and eventually finds some wrapping paper for Patrick, who takes the paper and leaves. Squidward notes how Patrick's visit wasn't as disruptive as he thought.


SpongeBob finds the wrapping paper and gives it Patrick. Patrick says that it is not very sparkly, but it will do. SpongeBob asks what Patrick is wrapping, but he runs out the door and says that it is a secret. Squidward looks out the window, while dusting, and says that it is not that bad because Patrick got what he wanted and left.
SpongeBob starts wondering what Patrick is up to when Patrick comes back, this time for some tape. Patrick takes the tape and leaves, and Squidward becomes suspicious of Patrick. SpongeBob becomes really curious about Patrick's actions when Patrick once again arrives, now asking for a bow. Squidward starts becoming annoyed at Patrick's constant trips to SpongeBob's house and back.


Later, at SpongeBob's house, SpongeBob is wearing a fez and reading a newspaper. SpongeBob gets a knock on his door. Patrick asks for SpongeBob. After SpongeBob opens the door. Patrick asks for some tape. SpongeBob tells Patrick to wait. SpongeBob comes back with a large ball of tape. Patrick says, "Looks kinda crummy, but beggars can't be chewers." Squidward looks out his window while cooking and sees Patrick singing with a ball of tape.
Patrick comes back to SpongeBob several more times to get stuff, and SpongeBob is unable to handle the mystery surrounding Patrick. He runs towards Patrick's [[Patrick Star's house|house]] and tries to peak in, but realises it has no windows and chastises himself for trying to spy on his best friend. Squidward, at this point, is bothered by SpongeBob and Patrick's actions.

SpongeBob gives him a large green bow, which Patrick where's back to his house. Squidward looks out his window while wearing a shower cap to see Patrick in the bow. SpongeBob goes back home and decides stop thinking about Patrick's secret when Patrick arrives with a present he made using SpongeBob's supplies. SpongeBob opens the present, only to find out that it's his drum that he left at Patrick's house after his birthday. Patrick asks if he likes it, and SpongeBob appreciates the thought put into it.


When he gets there, he realizes that Patrick's house does not have windows. He then says that he should not be spying on Patrick. He then walks home. Squidward is getting angry at the fact that the two are running back and forth. At SpongeBob house, SpongeBob sits in his chair and tries to stop thinking about it. Gary comes in and asks for food. Patrick then pounds on SpongeBob's door.
Patrick tells SpongeBob to try it out, and SpongeBob and Patrick start causing a huge ruckus outside as Squidward complains, commenting that he knew that SpongeBob and Patrick's actions would lead to him being annoyed.
 
When Patrick enters, he comes in with a present for SpongeBob. SpongeBob thanks Patrick and opens the gift. It is a drum. He is confused. He tells Patrick that it is his drum. Patrick thinks that he is saying that it is his drum because Patrick gave it to him. SpongeBob explains that he left the drum at Patrick's hose after Patrick's birthday party. Patrick tells SpongeBob to prove it.
 
SpongeBob shows Patrick the underside. It reads, "This is my Drum signed SpongeBob SquarePants". Patrick realizes his mistake. After an awkward moment, Patrick asks if he likes it. SpongeBob says that he does. Patrick asks him to try it out. Soon, outside of SpongeBob's house, SpongeBob plays his drum, Patrick plays some maracas, and Squidward yells at the two to stop the noise.
