Role in series
"Patty Hype"
When Template:Data:Links is not receiving business at the Krusty Krab, he watches a show about amoebas in his office.
"Goo Goo Gas"
They appear when Template:Data:Links turns Template:Data:Links into a baby. He is shrunken down after being hit by the baby gas to microscopic smallness. The Amoebas are shown to say that Plankton's baby size is microscopic.
"Plankton's Pet"
Plankton gets a pet amoeba and names him Spot. He tries to train him to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula. Spot looks much different than the amoebas in "Goo Goo Gas."
"Spot Returns"
Spot gives birth to many baby amoebas. Plankton uses them for a scheme to attempt to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula.
"Bottle Burglars"
Spot is in the Chum Bucket when SpongeBob and Squidward sneak in to try and get the Krabby Patty secret formula back.
"Gary & Spot"
It is revealed that Spot and Gary are best friends and they sneak out every night. They end up rescuing animals from a shelter and make Marvin, the animal control officer, happy.
"A Place for Pets"
Plankton hides in Spot's mouth in an attempt to sneak into the Krusty Krab, since now only pets are allowed in there. However, this causes Spot to digest all of Plankton's body except his eyeball.
