The sports guy[1] is a fish who works at Goo Lagoon and the Oyster Stadium as a sportscaster. He appears in the episodes "Ripped Pants," "MuscleBob BuffPants," and "The Great Snail Race." He also appears in the video game The Yellow Avenger.
Description
He is a fish with a black toupee, visible gills, and a long, spiky dorsal fin. He wears a suit with a tie. In Template:Data:Links, he is dark blue with a lighter blue front. In Template:Data:Links, he is light green.
In the series, he is always shown at a desk and is only seen from the waist up. In The Yellow Avenger, his legs are shown to be the same light blue color as his fins.
Role in series
"Ripped Pants"
He is the announcer of the surfing competition at Goo Lagoon. He groans when Template:Data:Links decides to rip his pants while surfing.
"MuscleBob BuffPants"
He is the announcer for the Goo Lagoon 8th annual Anchor Toss competition. He asks for some mustard on his hot dog before realizing that his microphone is on.
"The Great Snail Race"
He is the commentator for the race. He leaves the door to his booth open. A fan, Incidental 41, walks in and starts commentating before the sports guy returns, saying "Hey!" and shooing Nat away.
The Yellow Avenger
He appears on Conch Street, getting antagonized by the small Dirty Bubbles. His model is labeled "Businessman" in the game, despite him being a sportcaster.
Trivia
- He is occasionally mistaken for Perch Perkins, who was not introduced until The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. The sports guy's only appearance since Perch's introduction was in The Yellow Avenger.
