This is the first Martin Luther King Jr. Day marathon to happen in the 2020s decade, and after Stephen Hillenburg's lifetime.
Two new episodes will air in this event are "Lighthouse Louie" and "Hiccup Plague".
- They will also air four times in this event.
The first two movies will air in this event are "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" and "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water".
- "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" will air twice in this event.
- "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" will air twice in this event.
The exclusive look at the Paramount+ original movie, "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run" will shown during this event.
This is the first event to occur in 2021.
