"Hiccup Plague" was supposed to air with "Lighthouse Louie," but was pulled off, and later replaced with "My Two Krabses."^[1]^[2]
- Despite this, a clip from "Hiccup Plague" was shown in one of the bumpers.
This was the first Martin Luther King Jr. Day marathon to happen in the 2020s decade.
- This is the first time a marathon aired on Martin Luther King Jr. Day since the SpongeBob-A-Thon in 2002.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water aired twice in this event.
A sneak peek of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run was shown during this event.
This was the first event to occur in 2021.
