Betsy Krabs

Betsy Krabs is Mr. Krabs's mother and Pearl's grandmother. The episodes that have featured her have shown her to be very strict and no-nonsense. In "Sailor Mouth", she makes Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob, and Patrick repaint her pink anchor home as punishment for foul language, and in "Mid-Life Crustacean", she grounds her son for the night after he steals her bloomers. In "Enemy In-Law", she briefly dates Plankton, but turns down his marriage proposal. She is voiced by Paul Tibbitt in her first two appearances, but is voiced by Sirena Irwin in her third appearance. One way to tell the change was of the voice. In "Sailor Mouth" and "Mid-Life Crustacean", her voice was like that of an old person's. However, in "Enemy In-Law" and "Friend or Foe", her voice sounds younger with a slight Scottish accent. Her phone number is 791347. In the episode "Friend or Foe" she was shown younger, without wrinkles or gray hair and her name was revealed to be Betsy. She debuted in season six in the episode "Spongicus", in which she made two cameos at the Krusty Krab and in the Chum Coliseum.

Mama Krabs is an old crab who wears purple and has 'Big Meaty Claws'. Her skin is becoming wrinkly and she wears black glasses. On her back is a fluff of white. If she didn't have white hair, glasses, and a purple dress she would really look like Mr. Krabs. When she was young she still looked similar to what she does now.

Trivia/Goofs

• She sounds like an old man using a male-female voice in Sailor Mouth and Mid-Life Crustecean. However, she was female.She was switched in her voice to a Irish-accent in Enemy-In-Law, Friend or Foe, and Spongicus.
• Betsy Krabs is secretly revealed in an unmentioned identity that she has another son other than Mr.Krabs. The first clue is that in Enemy-in-Law, she said she wanted to see her favorite son. In Stanley S. Squarepants, Mr.Krabs reveals his three new one-appearance-only episode character ``nephews. This means her second son is married and had kids.
• A portrait of her married to her husband is shown in the episode Mid-Life Crustecean when she is disciplining Mr.Krabs.
• She has disciplined Mr.Krabs twice by going to where he is. In Mid-Life Crustecean, she said Go to your room, now! In

Enemy-In Law, she had said to him Go to your office! Now! How embarassing because there's other people around them!

• She was a poor woman in the mid- or late 1960s because she had no money to buy Eugene clothes. Old Man Jenkins spared some car-washing rags from the Trash-Can to fix him what to wear.
• She is not treated with respect. Eugene only gave her a funeral hat when she wanted a hat bought from her wealthy son. Also,Plankton used ``her to get the Krabby Patty formula, a parody of the book series A Series of Unfortunate Events where the villainous Count Olaf tries to marry 14-year old Violet Baudelaire to get her parents' enormous fortune.
