The black snail is a snail that appears in the episode "One Krabs Trash" and the online game Snail Park.

Description

It is a black sea snail with a blue swirl on its shell. It has a blue body, a dark purple underside, and red-orange eyes. Since snails are the equivalent of cats in Bikini Bottom, the black snail is a reference to black cats, which are sometimes associated with bad luck.

Role in episode

Mr. Krabs goes to Floater's Cemetery to find the soda drinking hat. There, he gets scared by a clam and scallops before stumbling upon the black snail. The snail hisses and slithers away, scaring Mr. Krabs even more.

Trivia

• The cat screeching sound effect used for the black snail is "Hollywoodedge, Cat Domestic Meow Ang AT010501," which can be found in the Animal Trax sound effects library from the Hollywood Edge.
  • Unlike Gary the Snail being voiced by Tom Kenny, this black snail is uncredited in Snowball Effect and One Krabs Trash (credits).
