- SpongeBob's alarm clock also broke in "Gary's New Toy," but SpongeBob was able to fix it in that episode.
- When this episode first aired, it was paired up with "Senior Discount."[citation needed]
- The episode was paired with "Squid's on a Bus" when it first aired in Russia.
- In Russian dub, the line "Why won't you fix?!" wasn't dubbed.
