Captain Scarfish was the Captain of Mr. Krabs' Cargo Ship featured in "Pull Up a Barrel." He was extremely hotheaded and is especially aggressive towards Mr. Krabs. This was due to Mr. Krabs cooking delicious food for the ship's crew, which Scarfish was against. Scarfish insisted on literally feeding the crew members slop, claiming it would make them tougher. However, this method only made the crew members very sick.

Scarfish was also bound tightly to following his orders. When his ship was being attacked by pirates, he initially didn't want to go through with Mr. Krabs' idea to scuttle the ship by spilling the sunscreen because it would endanger the mission.

• The scar on Scarfish's face is actually a tattoo.
