Synopsis

This episode begins at the Krusty Krab. The customers are watching SpongeBob cook. Mr. Krabs asks Squidward why the customers are not spending money. Squidward tells Mr. Krabs that they are watching SpongeBob cook. Mr. Krabs realizes that SpongeBob has talent and decides to put on an open kitchen by smashing a hole in the wall. SpongeBob first thinks he can see thru walls until Mr. crabs tells him he put in an open kitchen. SpongeBob gets nervous and hides in the dressing room, but Mr. Krabs threaten to fire SpongeBob if he does not perform.

SpongeBob goes out to perform, but his stage fright can be visible from making a Krabby Patty with the wrong ingredients. SpongeBob hides under the grill, but while under the grill, he decides to make a puppet with a paper lunch sack that he finds. The puppet became an instant success, but the puppet begins to make jokes that make SpongeBob, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs mad. The puppet becomes alive and starts to make insulting jokes, which the customers somehow like.

After the puppet makes fun of Squidward, SpongeBob fights with the puppet, causing the customers to leave. Afterwards, the puppet is "fired". The show ends with ChefBob having his own show even after clearly being torn to shreds outside, causing Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and SpongeBob to faint in shock.

• This episode, along with Patnocchio, premiered in Russia on July 27, 2018, exactly 13 days before it premiered in the US.
• "My leg!:" Fred screams this when Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob to break a leg during his cooking show.
• This is one of the few episodes to have a "The End" card.
  • This time around, both sister episode's have a The End card.
• This episode aired eight years after "You Don't Know Sponge" and "Hide and Then What Happens?" premiered and one year after "Plankton Retires" premiered in Latin America.
• SpongeBob having stage fright contradicts the fact that in many episodes, he is perfectly fine going on stage.
  • This episode likely takes place before those episodes, since SpongeBob would have a better time at it.
