Dictionary

Template:OTab Template:Object The Dictionary is an object that is mentioned in the episodes "Christmas Who?" and "The Original Fry Cook." It appears in "Krusty Love," "The Abrasive Side," "Sharks vs. Pods," "The Whole Tooth," and "Scavenger Pants." It is also mentioned in the comic SpongeFunnies (SpongeBob Comics No. 8).

Description

It is a varyingly-colored book that has the word "Dictionary" on it, which is sometimes underlined.

Role in series

"Krusty Love"

While SpongeBob is speaking gibberish, Mrs. Puff grabs a dictionary and reads it to understand what SpongeBob is saying. She blushes to his "colorful" vocabulary he uses to Template:Data:Links.

"The Abrasive Side"

Mr. Krabs uses it to look up the definition of the word "overtime" after Template:Data:Links mentions it. He becomes horrified of the word because of its definition.

Later in the episode, Mr. Krabs appears reading it from a far away distance using a stick when SpongeBob returns for help with his abrasive side.

"Sharks vs. Pods"

Sharkface tells SpongeBob that he is "one poppin' peripheral." SpongeBob proceeds to grab a dictionary and read what the word means, since he does not understand what "peripheral" means.

"The Whole Tooth"

Template:Data:Links grabs a green dictionary when he uses the word "chicanery" after SpongeBob betrays him.

"Scavenger Pants"

SpongeBob takes out a dictionary to tell Patrick what a scavenger hunt is.
