Mary's ex-boyfriend, also known as the Boss, is a sea snail who appears in the episode "Gary in Love" as the main antagonist, and in the based on episode online game Gary's Crush.
Description
As his name indicates, he used to be Mary the Snail's boyfriend. He's very dangerous due to his numerous threats to Template:Data:Links. He also has his own gang with other dangerous snails.
Boss has a purple shell with a dark teal swirl and light blue dots. He also has a scar on his shell. He has olive-colored skin and wears a brown hat. He and his gang's meows are translated into English for the audience's sake except for when he's talking to a pet store owner.
Role in episode
In the episode "Gary in Love," he appears when Gary is with Mary, and he threatens Gary. Mary ignores him and falls in love with Gary, which angers him. The next day when Gary sneaks out of SpongeBob's house, he and his employees hunt for Gary. They go to the Pet Store that Gary visits, and they ransack the place because the clerk would not tell them where Gary is. During the ransack, Gary escapes, and he and his employees get attacked by a poodle worm. When Gary finds Mary and sees that she get together with another snail, Mary's ex-boyfriend apologizes to Gary about being mean to him (possibly due to sympathy) and invites him to dinner.
