"Bummer Jobs" is a The Patrick Star Show episode from season 1. In this episode, Patrick and SpongeBob experience the wonders of the workforce

Patrick is trying to find his true purpose. Later, Patrick and SpongeBob are trying to find a job, while Squidward is trying to collect the newspaper money from Cecil Star.

  • This episode is Slappy's second appearance in the franchise, with his first being in "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout."
  • The porpoise says Bad Word #11 to Squidina towards the end of the episode, referencing "Sailor Mouth."
  • "My leg!:" Fred said this six times in the show Noir-sense when in interrogation, and he also accidentally slams the door on his leg when he leaves the scene.
  • The "Opportunity" rainbow is a reference to the "Imagination" rainbow from "Idiot Box."
  • The title is a reference to the episode "Bummer Vacation."
  • SpongeBob is once again mistaken for a box of cereal, like he was in "As Seen on TV."
