Frank the Whale is a whale seen only in "Ripped Pants" and "You Don't Know Sponge." In "Ripped Pants," he first appears emerging out of the sand, saying that the people who buried him in the sand forgot about him. He is then seen singing the "Ripped Pants" song with SpongeBob.

He appears again in "You Don't Know Sponge," where he hears Patrick making whale sounds. Frank heard Patrick's whale sound and thought it was his ex-wife, Martha, calling until his friend says it is not. He is dark gray and lighter on the underside. Frank wears a green shirt, red tie, briefcase, and hat.
