Template:Person Amy Poehler (born September 16, 1971, Burlington, Massachusetts) is an American comedian and actress. A former cast member on Saturday Night Live, she is currently the star of NBC's new sitcom Parks and Recreation, which premiered in 2009. Poehler was born the daughter of Eileen, a teacher, and Bill Poehler. Poehler was a key member of America's oldest collegiate improv comedy troupe, My Mother's Fleabag while at Boston College, where she graduated. As a extended member of the Nick family, Poehler co-created and is also the voice of Bessie Higgenbottom on The Mighty B. She voiced "Grandma" from episode "Have You Seen This Snail?." Just recently, she did the voice for Eleanor on Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
