Trivia
General
- Unlike what Mr. Krabs says, SpongeBob actually has been late to work in the past, meaning this episode takes place before "Hooky," "Have You Seen This Snail?," "New Digs," "Blackened Sponge," "What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?," "SpongeHenge," "Pet or Pests
- ," "Lost in Bikini Bottom" and "Drive Happy." However, he might simply have forgotten because he is old and SpongeBob didn't come late often anyway.
- SpongeBob's alarm clock also broke in "Gary's New Toy," but SpongeBob was able to fix it in that episode.
- Squidward is happy about SpongeBob's presumed death, despite feeling guilty about accidentally sentencing SpongeBob to death in "Dying for Pie." However this might also be because Squidward's hatred grew so much over the time, due to being constantly annoyed by him.
- When this episode first aired, it was paired up with "Senior Discount."[citation needed]
- The con man says that there's no more models of SpongeBob's alarm clock, but in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, SpongeBob has his alarm clock. However he might have just managed to get the alarm clock back on other ways.
