Reception
Trivia
General
- "My leg!": Fred screams this in the background while Plankton is looking for the secret formula in the evidence room.
- When this episode first aired, it was paired up with "Plankton Paranoia." This is due to how Nickelodeon pairs episodes with the previous one aired during a premiere week.[citation needed]
- The Tattletale Strangler from " SpongeBob Meets the Strangler" and Dennis from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie briefly appear on posters.
- SpongeBob also said "Is it hot in here?" in "No Free Rides."
- This is the second episode where a child character is arrested, the first being "Shuffleboarding."
- This is the second episode where Mr. Krabs impersonates a police officer. The first is "Pat the Horse."
- Felon Helen was misleadingly arrested, as it is not illegal for minors to sell homemade food or beverages without a food handler's permit so long as said food is not distributed under a trademark name or contaminated, and they have their parents' permission.
- This episode takes place after "SpongeBob Meets the Strangler" since the Tattletale Strangler is seen on a "Wanted" poster, heavily implying that he escaped prison following his arrest at the end of the said episode.
- It also takes place either before or after The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie since Dennis is also seen on a "Wanted" poster.
Errors
- Despite being a minor, Felon Helen is sent to regular jail rather than juvenile hall. However, Bikini Bottom has never been shown to have a juvenile correctional facility before.
