- This episode was originally scheduled to premiere on December 8, 2023.[4][3] It was then moved ahead to November 29, 2023[1] before being pulled entirely,[5] and not long later was rescheduled to its final premiere date of December 15, 2023.[1][2]
- The scheduling of the Nicktoons premiere of this episode was similarly chaotic. It was originally scheduled to premiere on November 29, 2023 before being pulled entirely, then was rescheduled to December 15, 2023 before being pulled again, then was rescheduled to December 18, 2023 before once again being pulled. There has yet to be a new premiere date.
- This is the fifth Christmas special, following "Christmas Who?," "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!," "SpongeBob's Road to Christmas," and "Twas the Night Before Spongemas."
- It is also the second stand-alone Christmas special, after "Twas the Night Before Spongemas."
