They originally started out as four pirates making a small pirate crew but in "Grandpappy the Pirate," other muscular characters in the series wearing pirate clothing were added to the "Pirate" Incidentals. There are at least 12 "Pirate" Incidentals in total with Pirates 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11 currently being unknown.

The "Pirate" Incidentals have made a few appearances throughout the series. Pirates 1-4 have always been portrayed as pirates in the series while Pirates 8, 9, and 12 and Reg, the sailor fish, the bubba fish, and the muscle head are normally portrayed as muscular fish and don't appear as "Pirate" Incidentals as often as Pirates 1-4. Pirate 3 often appears as a pirate captain with the other "Pirate" Incidentals as his crew.

Trivia

  • Pirate 8 is the only "Pirate" Incidental that was introduced in "Grandpappy the Pirate" that wasn't a reused model of a character that debuted in "No Weenies Allowed." Pirate 8 was a reused model of a character that debuted in "The Fry Cook Games."
