- Monster Island is a concept from the online games Monster Island, Return to Monster Island, and Monster Island Adventures, with Monster Island Adventures even being about working together on a delivery to Monster Island (specifically SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Squidward delivering an order of Krabby Patties to Octavius Rex there).
- This is the second episode of season 13 to have two enemies work together. The first was "There Will Be Grease."
- This is the seventh episode of the whole show to have two enemies work together, including "Best Frenemies," "The Other Patty," "Chum Fricassee," "Plankton's Pet," "The Krusty Bucket," and "There Will Be Grease." The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water also features enemies working together.
