The episode was confirmed by Rob Paulsen, who is guest starring as a voice actor, on April 10, 2019. According to the episode's script, it will contain multiple parts. According to Brian Morante, this is a double-length episode.

• This episode was originally titled "Escape From Beneath Glove World."
• This will be the first 22-minute/double-length episode to premiere after Stephen Hillenburg's lifetime.

• This is the second time that the location Glove World! is used in an episode title. The first was "Glove World R.I.P." in season 8.

• The first promo was shown during the premiere of Patchy's Beach Bash!.
• Once again, for no reason, Glove World! is shown operational despite being closed and replaced by Glove Universe in "Glove World R.I.P.".

Errors
