The finback fish, also known as Pirate 9, is a muscular fish who first appears in the episode "No Weenies Allowed."

Description

He is a muscular, orange fish with a light blue dorsal fin, blue lips, and light orange arms. He wears a white shirt and black pants that cover up his feet. He also has two white bandages on the sides of his head.

He wears a white spotted turquoise bandana on top of his head.

The finback fish has made a few appearances throughout the series. He is normally portrayed as a muscular tough fish that can be usually seen among other tough and muscular fish. In "Grandpappy the Pirate," a "Pirate" incidental of him was created.

Major roles

"No Weenies Allowed"

He is seen walking up to The Salty Spitoon when Template:Data:Links demands Reg to let him into the place. He asks Reg how he is doing, causing SpongeBob to jump in Reg's arms in fright. Reg then lets him in, while the finback tough thanks him.

"SpongeBob Meets the Strangler"

When asked if he could be SpongeBob's bodyguard to protect him from the strangler, he immediately goes away on top of his drill out of fear.

"Spongicus"

He appears as a gladiator with the Popeye fish where they tie the string of sausages around Template:Data:Links's neck.

"A Life in a Day"

He is part of the angry biker crew going after Template:Data:Links after he accidentally knocks their bikes over.

"Krusty Krushers"

He is one of the tough fish who attempt to defeat Champ 1 and Champ 2, but fail.

"Grandpappy the Pirate"

He is seen in Template:Data:Links's flashback as a member of his crew that later gets fired by him along with the rest of the crew.

"SpongeBob's Last Stand"

Patrick accidentally places a "Save Jellyfish Fields" flyer on his back, and the finback fish then finds SpongeBob behind him and assumes that he places the flyer on his back. He angrily punches SpongeBob into the ground.

"Life Insurance"

He is seen eating a sherbet ice cream cone which Template:Data:Links then steals, prompting a violent attack.

"Handemonium"

He attempts to beat Mr. Krabs at an arm wrestling match, but Mr. Krabs easily beats him.
