Kevin is the 1830s counterpart of Kevin C. Cucumber who appears in the episode "Dopey Dick" as a background character.

Description

Much like his modern-day counterpart, he is a light green sea cucumber with crown-like pale yellow feeding tentacles and pink lips. He wears blue glasses and a white wig along with a gray tailcoat, dirty white trousers, and white gloves. He wears spectator dress shoes with spats. His fancy clothes became tattered and ruined, he smeared jellyfish jelly on one part of his suit and a patch sewn on his pants.

Story

After adding the Jellyspotters as Captain SpongeHab's crew, Ian Vazquez thought it would be fun to throw a background gag story to the episode, and his choice fell on Kevin.

Kevin was a nobleman who pursued jellyfish whaling as a hobby. He was the founder and the formal owner of The Jelly Squirt Inn. He was disgraced and he took the credit while his employee Capn' A. Krabs did all the hard work. Kevin was bad with money, but Krabs was smart and sneaky, so he took over the control.

Role in episode

He appears as a customer at The Jelly Squirt Inn at the beginning of the episode, sitting drunk at the table in front of his portrait with his head down. He also appears at the end of the episode, laughing along with the other customers at Fishmael Tentacles for over-exaggerating himself as a hero.
