King Neptune's mother is the mother of King Neptune who appears in the short "The Story of King Neptune" and is later mentioned in the book Stage Fright!
Description
She is a light-blue mermaid with black hair and eyes, a blue-green tail, and pink lipstick. She wears a green bra with pink shells, a gold crown with a pink shell and two rubies on the front, gold earrings, a golden ruby-encrusted belt, and two golden hoop bracelets on her right arm.
Role in short
She appears during SpongeBob's retelling of King Neptune's past, where she throws her son into a clam that then floats down a river.
Role in book
After King Neptune watches Martin Dorado's show and loves it, he admits that he would have liked if it were a bit sillier and reminisces about his mother singing him a silly song about bubbles when he was merely a prince.
Trivia
- Her act of putting her son in a clam that floats down a river is a reference to the Bible's Book of Exodus, where Jochebed places her son Moses in a waterproofed basket that also floats down a river.
