Saint Patrick's Day is holiday celebrated in "Squidina's Holidaze Special" that commemorates the deeds of Saint Patrick.
Description
According to GrandPat, the holiday celebrates Saint Patrick, who opposed the evil leprechauns who were turning gold into rainbows. In the story, Saint Patrick powered up his strength to its maximum level and did battle with the leprechaun. After an intense battle, Saint Patrick gains the upper hand and prepares to deliver the final blow against the leprechaun. However, Plankton interrupts before GrandPat can finish the story.
Role in episode
This holiday, among others, is acted out in Squidina's holiday play. Squidina pulls Mr. Krabs and Plankton from the audience to the play the roles of Saint Patrick and the leprechaun, respectively. The two act out the story of the holiday while GrandPat narrates. Just before the leprechaun is defeated, Plankton stops the play and asks the audience if they want to see yet another play where the hero is defeated by the villain. Seeing the audience's indifference, Plankton begins to prepare a speech, but Mr. Krabs launches him out of the auditorium with a golf club.
Trivia
- The fight between Saint Patrick and the leprechaun is done in a similar style to fight scenes in Dragon Ball Z.
