Newspaper King
The Newspaper King is a character who appears in the episode "Pat-per Route."
Description
He is a small light olive green fish with a dark olive green colored dorsal fin and lips, along with a gray beard. He wears a crown folded from newspaper with a gold trim on his paper wig, a purple cloak with a black belt, a long paper cape, black pants, and gold shoes.
Role in episode
Patrick and Squidward get hit by a newspaper, from which the Newspaper King magically appears. Squidward bows and tells Patrick that he is the Newspaper King, so he does the same. He explains that he has come to reward the best paperboy with a gold trophy. Squidward thinks it will be given to him, but instead, the king hands the prize to Patrick. The Newspaper King then joins them, posing as they are photographed, and they appear in a newspaper.
