Not to be confused with the SpongeBob SquarePants Pop-Up Channel.

NickSpongeBob is a 24-hour television channel in the UK, Ireland, and the US that airs a variety of episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, The Patrick Star Show, and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years. It occasionally replaces Nicktoons.

Additionally, it has also occasionally aired episodes of The Loud House in the UK.

History

The channel was first announced in July 2022 on a press release, to temporarily replace Nicktoons UK and Ireland, similar to how Nick Jr. Too changed into Nick Jr. Peppa in August and Nick Jr. PAW Patrol in September. The channel officially launched on September 1, 2022 at 6:00am.

The channel was closed and rebranded as NickHorrid Henry on October 1, 2022.

The channel relaunched on March 1, 2023 on 6:00am.

The channel also relaunched on May 29, 2023 at 6:00am.

The channel also relaunched on July 31, 2023 as part of an event called "Summer of Sponge."

The channel relaunched on November 27, 2023 and closed on January 2, 2024.

The channel relaunched on April 1, 2024 using the Christmas-themed branding from 2023. This was fixed on April 2, 2024. On April 15, 2024, the channel aired Dora. The channel closed on May 1, 2024.

The channel relaunched on July 19, 2024, this retired the old NickSpongeBob logo from September 2022, and it has a splat logo like the Nickelodeon logo in 2023 and has a new SpongeBob logo on it and the one of the Os in the NickSpongeBob logo is now pineapple shaped. The channel closed on September 2, 2024.

On October 26, 2024, Nicktoons switched to a schedule airing only SpongeBob SquarePants, however they did not use the NickSpongeBob branding. This schedule remained the same until November 4, 2024, when they started using the NickSpongeBob branding, and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years and The Patrick Star Show were added to the schedule.

The channel relaunched on February 28 and closed on April 1, 2025. It is planned to return from July 21 to September 1, and November 3 to December 1, 2025.

The channel launched for the first time in the US, replacing Nicktoons, starting on May 23, 2025 at 6:00am ET, as part of SpongeBob's Summer of F.U.N. To celebrate the rebrand, the channel aired a special marathon from 12:30pm to 11:43pm daily until May 26, consisting of all the latest SpongeBob SquarePants episodes, compilations, and broadcasts of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Despite the rebrand, several other shows continued to air on the network, albeit, branded as Nicktoons instead of NickSpongeBob, including Super Duper Bunny League and Zokie of Planet Ruby on May 24, 2025, and network premieres of Wylde Pak starting on June 6, 2025.
