A scavenger hunt is a game played by SpongeBob and Patrick in the episode "Scavenger Pants."

Gameplay

It is a game in which participants have to collect a number of miscellaneous objects.

Role in episode

When SpongeBob says the word "scavenge" while looking around with Patrick in Squidward's house, he gets the idea to make them do a scavenger hunt, so he can get them out of his hair. SpongeBob and Patrick play this game throughout the episode.
