SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie Collection
The SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie Collection are official SpongeBob SquarePants basketball sneakers created by Nike and Kyrie Irving as a collaboration with Nickelodeon. There are five designs that are based off the main characters. It includes SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy. The SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward designs are in the "Kyrie 5" model while the Mr. Krabs and Sandy designs are featured in the "Kyrie Low 2" silhouette. The SpongeBob and Patrick sneakers come in different sizes, ranging from different prices, while the others do not seem to have any other sizes yet.
History
They were announced around the middle of July 2019, but it is unclear as not many sources reported the announcement date. On July 23, 2019, The official SpongeBob SquarePants YouTube account released a video showing off the sneakers. On August 8, 2019, it was announced that the collection would release on August 10, 2019 through Nike SNKRS and Foot Locker. On August 10, 2019, the collection released online, selling out almost immediately.
