A technical test of the game was open from October 25 to October 27, 2012.[1] It was planned to formally release in 2013.[1]
Gameplay
"The Mayor's dark scheme has jeopardized the city of Plankton into a huge explosion. Mr. Krabs, seeing the big cash opportunity, gathers up people for a re-construction business. SpongeBob Online brings the world of SpongeBob to a MMO game experience. It's a social platform where many players can interact with each other while enjoying diverse games together."

Squidward Tentacles
Bio from Website: Squidward Tentacles, SpongeBob's other next-door neighbor and co-worker at the Krusty Krab, an arrogant and ill-tempered squid and dislikes his neighbors (especially SpongeBob) for their childlike behavior. He enjoys playing the clarinet and painting self-portraits, but hates his job as a cashier at the Krusty Krab.
