Temporary shell
The temporary shell is a shell that Plankton gives to Gary in the episode "Shellback Shenanigans."
Description
It is an orange inflatable shell with with a paper clip sealed with adhesive tape. There are also fabric patches.
Role in episode
Plankton shows up at SpongeBob's house disguised as a salesman and offers Gary a vacation to a snail resort. He convinces Gary to wear this fake shell, claiming that he will clean Gary's real shell while he is away. Gary puts on the temporary shell and leaves, giving Plankton the chance to sneak into his real shell to deceive SpongeBob. Later, while SpongeBob carries Plankton to the Krusty Krab, Gary is riding a bus and notices Plankton wearing his shell through the window. Realizing that he has been scammed, Gary hops off the bus, enters the Krusty Krab, and proceeds to beat up Plankton. Then, after foiling Plankton's scheme, Gary puts his original shell back on.
