Location

The Famed Bikini Bottom Opera House is a large marble building that was dubbed "the pinnacle of grown-up culture" by Squidward and is also visited by "mature" Patrick. It appears in the episodes "Squidward's School for Grown-Ups" and "UpWard."

Exterior

The Famed Bikini Bottom Opera House is what is stated a large marble building with many columns (6 to be exact) in front of the building. It also has many stairs which lead into the building itself. Its location is unknown but it may be located a few miles away from the Art Museum.

Interior

The inside of the Opera House is very nice. It has a very unique design mainly of the colors gold and green. It has many seats (including "box seats" that Squidward and Patrick sit in) and a stage on which performers sing. It appears that an opera singer always opens the show with a few lines before the actual show begins.

Role in series

"Squidward's School for Grown-Ups"

SpongeBob sings an opera here to win over Patrick as his friend.

"UpWard"

Lady Upturn gets Squidward a clarinet performance here. However, since her hearing had been impaired, she does not realize how bad he actually plays, leading to her canceling the performance.

Trivia

  • The Famed Bikini Bottom Opera House may be based on another famous opera building: The Sydney Opera House.
  • SpongeBob is the only person to sing in the Opera House, as there is usually a whole crowd singing a performance.
