Hello!, Bonjour!, Buongiorno!, ¡Hola!, Goeiedag!, Nĭ Hăo!

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make galleries easily! NO SBCAPTURES!
(video version coming soon; click on the screenshots to see them correctly)
REQUIRED:

  • A locally stored copy of an episode
  • A Wikia account (of course, you silly)

--Softwares (+ downloads):

HOW-TO:

  1. First of all, download VLC Media Player (its installation process is very straight-forward, no need to explain it).
  2. Then, find your copy of an episode. (I WON'T GIVE YOU ANY LINKS TO DOWNLOAD EPISODES!)
    File:Explorer rnpfGjgQnC.png
  3. Double-click on it, then VLC should open.
  4. Once it's opened, click on Tools, then on Preferences.

    Tools -> Preferences
  5. In the "Show settings" area, click "All".
    File:Vlc 1LQpxj2t91.png
  6. Go all the way down in the preferences, then click on the "Video" button.
  7. Find the "Video snapshot directory" setting. It shows the folder the screenshots are saved in. Click "Browse".
    File:Vlc sKPNvl3Mag.png
  8. Choose a new path.
  9. In the "Video snapshot file prefix" area, write the name of the episode. Then tick the "Use sequencial numbers" button.
  10. Click "Save". (Make sure the file extension is set to PNG before doing so to get the best quality!)
  11. Take snapshots. (Shift - S)
  12. Once all the needed caps are taken, go to the folder they're stored in.
    File:Explorer 2019-09-27 19-00-52.png
  13. Select all the screencaps (Ctrl - A), then right-click on the first cap ([name]00001). Click "Rename". Write the episode's full name. Every file name will contain a number now.
  14. Create 2 (or 3 if number of caps ≥100) folders. Put screencaps 1 to 9 in the first folder, screencaps 10 to 99 in the second one (and screencaps 100 to 999 in the third one).
  15. Click the first folder. You'll find your newly moved screencaps.
  16. Right-click on one of the screencaps, then click on "Bulk Rename Here".

  17. Reselect all the screencaps.
  18. In the "Replace (3)" area, write ) in the first text field, and leave the second one empty. This will replace all )s with emptiness. Click on "Rename". If a warning message shows up, press "OK" and untick the "Show this warning again" box.
  19. Go in the other folder(s) (they should be visible right below the first one), then do the same process.
  20. Once all the files are renamed that way, put them back in the original folder (and close Bulk Rename Utility).
    File:2019-09-27 19-14-12.png
  21. Delete the now unneeded folders. Open Bulk Rename Utility (see step 16).
    File:Bulk Rename Utility 2019-09-27 19-24-13.png
  22. Select screencaps 1 to 9. Then write (in the "Replace" area) "[file name] (" in the first text field, and "[file name] 00" in the second one. Press "Rename".
  23. Repeat with screencaps 10 to 99, the final names will only contain one additional zero (and repeat once again for screencaps 100 to 999, with no additional zeros).
  24. Close Bulk Rename Utility.
    File:Explorer 2019-09-27 19-26-48.png
  25. Type Windows - R, then type "cmd.exe".
  26. When cmd is open, type "cd [FULL path to the screencaps' folder]"
  27. Type "dir /b > files.txt". This will create a text file containing every single file name (with extensions).
    File:Notepad 2019-09-27 19-30-25.png
  28. Close cmd and open the .txt file.
  29. Go on the episode's gallery, then click "Edit" (this step only works with the source editor!)
  30. Copy-paste the full list of file names between the two "gallery" tags. DO NOT CLOSE THE WINDOW.
    File:WikiUp 2019-09-27 19-35-45.png
  31. Open Wiki-Up. At first launch. it will ask you for the wiki's domain (spongebob.fandom.com), your username and your password. Click "Login".
    File:WikiUp 2019-09-27 19-38-15.png
  32. On Wiki-Up, click on "Add files". Browse through your computer to find the screencaps' folder, then select all the files.
  33. Tick the "Force upload" button, then click on "Upload".
  34. Wait a few minutes.
  35. Once all the screencaps have been uploaded, go back to the episode's gallery, then click "Publish".

Voilà! You just learned how to make a full gallery in less than one hour!
