- This is the second short to use flash animation. The first is the Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show short.
- Some of the characters' features, such as SpongeBob's hands and Patrick's eyebrows, are more simple and curved than they are in the series.
- This is the first short made for the Kids' Choice Awards since "Nickelodeon Blimp" in 2005.
