The "Cop" incidentals were firstly designed to be portrayed as the many cop characters for the episode "Hall Monitor." They were originally all considered to be separate characters until they all became merged into one regular incidental, Incidental 118. Cop 1 was the default appearance of Incidental 118 while Cops 2, 3, and 4 were considered to be alternate color palettes for Incidental 118. The two most commonly used "Cop" incidentals that were used in the series were Cops 1 and 2. Incidental 118's normal variant and two of his alternate palettes, who were Cops 2 and 3, have had changes in their coloration and no longer have the same appearances as Cops 1, 2, and 3. Cop 4 however hasn’t had any changes in his coloration as of now.
