Plot

While trying to run away from SpongeBob, Squidward gets a speeding ticket and gets sent to boating school, where SpongeBob is happy to have him as a new friend in class. There is a reference to the viral video "Chocolate Rain" in this episode, in which SpongeBob spills Squidward's drink, and exclaims "Coffee Rain!", and Squidward says that his drink was Hot Chocolate, then Spongebob says, "Chocolate Rain!". In the end, Squidward fails the boating exam and has to take it again next week together with SpongeBob.

Trivia/goofs

When Squidward walked away from Spongebob, Squidward had a newspaper in his hand, but in the next shot he doesn't.
The Four Seasons - Winter by Vivaldi is playing while SpongeBob is drawing on the board.
After SpongeBob spills Squidward's coffee, says "Coffee Rain!" and Squidward says it's Hot Chocolate,SpongeBob yells "Chocolate Rain!"- a possible referance to 'Chocolate Rain', a famous song by Tay Zonday.
