Bob the Sponge
Bob the Sponge was a sponge that appeared in Stephen Hillenburg's 1989 comic the Intertidal Zone. He was shown talking to the star of the comic, a shrimp named Rocky the Shrimp.He was also a bit of the inspiration for SpongeBob SquarePants ,though considering he was a sea sponge rather then SpongeBob who looks more like a cleaning sponge.
