|
Mary,[2] also known as Incidental 87,[3] is an incidental character who first appears in the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy." She is likely classified as an elderly-type incidental.
Description
She is a beige-colored elderly fish with puffy gray hair. She wears a light pink dress and has dark purple curled slippers. She has big cheeks and three freckles on her chin. She also wears glasses with blue lenses. In her older appearances, she lacked her glasses, was colored peach, her hair was yellow, her dress was light purple, and her shoes were light gray. In their even older designs, her hair outline was black, and has drowsy eyes.
She also has an alternate design that first appeared in "The Two Faces of Squidward" where she lacks her default glasses, making her resemble a combination of her regular variant and her old design variant.

- Mary is Incidental 87's most consistently used name in the series. It originated in "Chocolate with Nuts," and was readapted in "Biddy Sitting," "FUN-Believable," "Sheldon SquarePants," "Biscuit Ballyhoo," and "Student Driver Survivor."

Role in series
Mary has not made too many appearances throughout the series due to most elderly incidentals normally being portrayed as a resident of Shady Shoals Rest Home. Though she has made a decent amount of notable and speaking roles. In a decent amount of her appearances, she has been seen beside her mother, Baby Prunes. In episodes where she is associated alongside her mother, she is usually portrayed as a minor character rather than an incidental character. Although she is still mainly identified as an incidental.
