Mrs. Sally Spitoon is the owner of The Salty Spitoon who is first possibly referenced in the SpongeBob Comics No. 12 comic Too Tough! before appearing in the episodes "Salty Sponge" and "Squidward's Tough Break."

Mr. Spitoon

Sally is a short, brown, wrinkly anglerfish with orange eyes. She has sharp white teeth and wears a red hat with a green flower, as well as a red skirt with white polka dots, and black boots. She also has sentient heart tattoo who is her husband that is fused with her. The tattoo resembles a male anglerfish with sharp teeth.

Role in episodes

"Salty Sponge"

She's SpongeBob's boss throughout the episode. She shows SpongeBob the kitchen and the utensils necessary to do the job, then orders him to make a brick covered in nails with extra motor oil. SpongeBob assumes this is diner lingo, and instead makes a bagel. She repeats the order, which SpongeBob makes the second time. After Mrs. Puff is scared from hearing SpongeBob, Mo says he must be pretty tough. Sally then sets up a series of challenges to test SpongeBob's toughness. Towards the end of the episode, she can be seen filing her nails. When Mr. Krabs arrives at The Softy Spitoon, she says that she's hiring SpongeBob permanently, to which Mr. Krabs gets into a fight with her with. Once SpongeBob leaves with Mr. Krabs, she tells the members of The Salty Spitoon to chase after him.

"Squidward's Tough Break"

She makes a cameo at the Salty Spitoon, polishing one of the glasses behind the counter as Squidward flies past and injures his head.

  • Although she is called "Mrs. Sally Spitoon" in the concept art, her name is "Sally Spitoon" according to the credits of "Salty Sponge" and "Karen for Spot."
