— The boss
Character

The boss[1] is an eel who works as the CEO of Business Industries in the episode "The Executive Treatment."

Description

He is a lime green eel, most likely a moray, with a light brown mustache and light green fins and legs. He wears a blue and purple suit, a magenta tie, and a gold monocle.

Role in episode

When Patrick is accidentally brought into Business Industries, the boss quickly gets fed up with Patrick's antics and warns him that he will only give him 18 chances to prove himself worthy of being a Business Industries executive. In the montage that follows, Patrick continues to goof off, annoying the boss more and more. Eventually, he decides to fire Patrick.

In retaliation, Patrick reveals that he was not an executive, telling the boss he could not be fired due to this, only to have the boss arrest him for corporate espionage.

Trivia

  • His mannerisms, voice and penchant for wisecracks are based on those of legendary comedian Groucho Marx.
    • His voice actor Frank Ferrante even played Groucho Marx in the play Groucho: A Life in Revue.
  • The boss had frightened children in India, thus leading to the episode he's in getting banned there.[citation needed]
