Hungry for Heroes is a SpongeBob SquarePants comic published in Nickelodeon Magazine in Spring 2004. It appears on pages 48 and 49. It was also reprinted in Comic Crazy... Take 2!.

Synopsis

Patrick visits SpongeBob and asks if he is going to lunch. SpongeBob tells him that he just got a new issue of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy comics. In the comic, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy encounter a Giant Piranha Monster about to attic Atlantis. The duo swim away to distract the monster, who chases them. Suddenly, Patrick takes a bite out of the comic. SpongeBob drags SpongeBob to the doctor's office and uses the x-ray machine to try and see the missing piece of the comic book.
