Incidental 71[1] is an incidental character who first appears in the episode "Pickles." His incidental type is currently unknown.
Description
He is a short olive green peanut-shaped fish with dark olive green colored lips and stripes on his head and stomach.
Role in series
Incidental 71 has made a few appearances in the first two seasons most commonly as a silent incidental character in the background. He is absent from the series for over 20 years after his appearance in "Patty Hype" (not counting his appearances in storyboards), but he makes a comeback in the series in the season 13 episode "Say Awww!" He has had only one speaking role in the series so far and was firstly designed to be a Krusty Krab customer.
Major roles
"Pickles"
He spots SpongeBob through the Krusty Krab window when Incidental 70 states that he is back. He can then be seen watching SpongeBob and Bubble Bass' show off alongside Harris, as well as showing disgust when Bubble Bass reveals the chewed up Krabby Patty from his mouth.
"Walking Small"
Incidental 71 is seen sunbathing with Incidental 12 where they get disturbed by SpongeBob waving a sandy towel at the beachgoers.
"Fools in April"
When SpongeBob leaves the Krusty Krab crying due to the rude April Fool's Day prank Squidward pulled, he looks at Squidward in disgust and turns to Squidward saying "April fools, jerk."
Trivia
- In "Fools in April" when Squidward has a flashback of Incidental 71 telling him "April Fools, jerk," Incidental 6 mistakenly appears in his flashback instead of Incidental 71.
