Goo Lagoon (Battle for Bikini Bottom)

Goo Lagoon is the third level of the console versions of Battle for Bikini Bottom and Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated. This level requires 10 Golden Spatulas to enter.

Robots have caused havoc at the beach and taken everyone's sunscreen. Larry the Lobster tasks SpongeBob to use sun reflectors on the tops of lifeguard towers to destroy the robot and return everyone's sunscreen. Patrick is needed to help him, as well as help Mr. Krabs at the Goo Lagoon Pier.

Rehydrated changes

• The rays of sunlight are now pulsing instead of solid.
• Some of SpongeBob and Patrick's comments regarding the goo and rising goo in the sandcastle have been removed.
• When the player enters the sandcastle, the goo does not rise perpetually, instead it gradually rises and sinks. Also, the cutscene of the goo beginning to rise does not play.
• When a child has been rescued, they fly right back to Mrs. Puff instead of falling straight down. They also have a dizzy animation.
• The children use different models instead of the same model for each child.
• A mark is positioned under the children's balloons to guide SpongeBob where to Bubble Bash them.

Sub-areas

Goo Lagoon Beach

This is the "main" area of the Goo Lagoon level as well as the first area.

Starting Area

This is the first area of the beach section. SpongeBob SquarePants starts at the entrance and a board that must be flipped with his Bubble Bash attack must be used to climb a precipice.

Monsoon Ambush

The first Monsoon enemy is encountered here, zapping an innocent fish when SpongeBob arrives.

There are eight Golden Spatulas to earn in Goo Lagoon. 11 of Patrick's socks are hidden here.

King of the Castle

Get the Golden Spatula at the top of the sandcastle area.

Connect the Towers

Use SpongeBob's Bubble Bash to press one of the two buttons on the lifeguard towers to turn the reflectors and reflect the sunlight. If the correct button is pressed, the sunlight will reflect towards the nearest tower. Once all the towers are connected, the sunlight will point toward the big reflector on the island; SpongeBob then has to reach the island on the other side and turn the big reflector onto the robot and destroy it. Once this is done, Larry will congratulate SpongeBob with a Golden Spatula.

Save the Children

The children are flying out of control on overfilled balloons and SpongeBob must Bubble Bash the balloons to save the children before they fly away. Once all five kids are rescued, Mrs. Puff will award a Golden Spatula.

Over the Moat

Use Patrick to cross the moat behind the sandcastle to reach the Golden Spatula at the end of the ravine.

Through the Sea Caves

Get the Golden Spatula at the end of the Sea Caves just before the entrance to Goo Lagoon Pier.

Clean out the Bumper Boats

Use Patrick to destroy the robots in the Bumper Boats ride on Goo Lagoon Pier; Mr. Krabs will then give him a Golden Spatula as a reward.

Slip and Slide Under the Pier

Use Patrick to use a Freezy Fruit to get the Golden Spatula on one of the stray piers under the pier dock.

Tower Bungee

Use SpongeBob to bungee and retrieve a Golden Spatula at the bottom of the tower.
