Rock Bottom is the fourth main level and fifth level overall of the console versions of Battle for Bikini Bottom and Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated. This level requires 25 Golden Spatulas to enter and the player must have defeated Robo-Sandy.

The robots have stolen priceless artwork from the Rock Bottom museum. Mrs. Puff asks SpongeBob to return the artwork to her and help the museum re-open. SpongeBob enlists Sandy's help to enter and traverse both the museum and the Trench of Advanced Darkness.

Rehydrated changes

The following is a list of the changes made to Rock Bottom in Rehydrated:

• There are now pipes of water in the first part of the level.
• The music is remixed.
• The music resets when the player pushes a button to raise a Texas trailer hitch in the first area or triggers the candy machine Easter egg.
• There is now a description of how to sneak as SpongeBob when describing the Sleepy-Time robot.
• The rickety platforms take slightly longer to fall than the original, and they wobbles slightly as SpongeBob sneaks over them.
• The player can now fall in to the vent to enter the museum.
• The buttons are in the museum are back to red when the player enters the museum anytime.
• Snail-Po from "Missing Identity" is seen as lights throughout the museum.
• There is no animation for the lasers on the floor shutting off.
• Pink neon lights were added to both sides of the large slide to prevent players from using it as an exploit.
• The museum's paintings are different.
• Barnacle Boy can no longer talk to Sandy when she enters the museum.
• There are states of Patrick, Sandy Cheeks, Mermaid Man, Barnacle Boy, Bubble Buddy, Bikini Bottomites, SpongeBob's house, Squidward Tentacles' house, and Patrick Star's house in display cases.
• When exiting the museum as Sandy though the vent, the player is now SpongeBob instead of Sandy.
• At the end of the Trench of Advanced Darkness there is not a second Duplicatotron spawning another Sleepy-Time also the floating tiki no longer moves to get the purple shiny object.
• There is no invisible wall at the troll gate to go back to Rock Bottom.
