Gameplay
The game is built in the Roblox engine. The player can walk, sprint, jump, double jump, and mid-air dash. Being a Tower Defense game, the basic gameplay revolves around defending a certain object or location from waves of mobs, placing units to defeat the crowds. Upon joining the game, the player spawns in front of SpongeBob's house at The Reef Retreat, and are able to choose their first basic unit, either being SpongeBob, Patrick, or Squidward. The player can go to Patrick's AFK rock to get rewards, go to Squidward's challenges, buy stuff from the Mr. Krabs merchant, get traits from Sandy, and summon creatures at the Poseidome Colosseum at the Summon Pool. The game features four game modes the player can choose from.
Units are the game's main element and take the appearance of various locations and characters from the franchise. They have a total of nine rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Limited, Secret, and Exotic. Many units also have different attack types: Full, Splash, Pierce, Line, Single, and Resource. Units can be upgraded by completing chapters in which they participated, or by feeding them various food items. They are primarily obtained using gems at the Summon Pool in The Reef Retreat. There are three different Summon banners that can be selected: Standard, which has the lowest prices but with worse pulls, Boosted which is pricier but with better pulls, and Exclusive, which have exclusive units but can be only summoned with Magic Conch shells. Above the Summon banners are the Mythic Pity and Legendary Pity counters, which raise if the player does not get a Legendary or Mythic unit. After 200/400 summons without getting a unit of these rarities, you are granted a free random Legendary or Mythic unit. The counters will reset if the player summons a unit of these rarities before they're finished. Traits are modifiers that can be applied to units, giving stat boosts or special effects They can be accessed from the Sandy Cheeks Traits section in the Summon area. Traits can only be applied using Trait Rerolls or Golden Trait Rerolls, which assign the selected unit one of thirteen Traits, the latter giving much more favorable chances. Similar to summons, trait rerolls have Neptune Pity and Golden Neptune pity counters, which act in the same way. Players can fuse units at the Fusions section, which require five duplicates of a selected unit. Each Fusion results in the unit obtaining one star, which adds +10% damage, this can be done up to five times, resulting in a max of +50% on any unit.
Story
The Story game mode is the main and first unlockable mode. It can be entered from outside of the Krusty Krab in The Reef Retreat, where there are many buses parked in front that allow the player to teleport to a variety of maps. There are currently six worlds which all include two acts, split up into six chapters each, totaling to twelve chapters per map, which also include two infinite chapters. There are also four different difficulties the player can choose from: Normal, Hard, Nightmare, and Davy Jones' Locker. The basic gameplay of this mode is simple, the player has to protect a location from fifteen waves of mobs, which follow a strict path to the location you must protect. Players can purchase and place units they have obtained along the path, which attack and kill the mobs. Players can also upgrade their units using coins, which are given to the player for each mob killed. Along with the mobs, bosses can also appear, which are larger and higher in health. A final boss appears at the end of the fifteenth wave, and if killed, ends the chapter. Completing a chapter rewards the player with items and/or exclusive units.
Challenges
The Challenges game mode is the second unlockable mode, available once the player reaches level 10. It can be entered from the lake section of The Reef Retreat. There is a total of five unique challenge worlds, considered to be more challenging, which switch out every thirty minutes. There are three difficulties the Challenge worlds can be, each one having a different number of conditions: Hard with one, Nightmare with two, and Davy Jones' Locker with three. Beating a challenge world rewards the player with various loot, including Challenger Tokens, which can be spent at Squidward Challenger Shack located nearby.
Raids
The Raids game mode is the third unlockable mode, available once the player reaches level 25. It is very similar to challenges, featuring the same three difficulties and similar gameplay. Raids, however, are far more difficult. There are currently only three unique raid worlds, which switch out every thirty minutes, and also have twenty-five waves instead of fifteen. During a raid, new areas that mobs can spawn from occasionally appear, which trigger a cutscene and also create new paths. Beating a raid world rewards the player with various loot, including Golden spatulas, which can be spent on exclusive skins or items at the Plankton & Karen Raid Shop located nearby.
Other
There are three factions that the player can join, with them being titled Band Geeks, Jellyspotters, and Goofy Goobers. Leaderboards for them can be found at the Hall of Champions next to Mrs. Puff's Mount Shop where the player can buy mounts.

German mag list updates
The SpongeBob Schwammkopf Magazin is a series of magazines published by Egmont Ehapa Media on the popular kids series SpongeBob SquarePants every two months weeks, which includes comics, gags, games and posters. The publication of the magazine began in 2003 and ceased in 2014, before being relaunched in May 2022.[3] Each issue contains a toy, while some contain collectible figures. From 2006 to 2010, the SpongeBob SquarePants Comic Special was also published every two months, a spin-off of the magazine that exclusively contained comics.
Contents
The SpongeBob magazine consists of several sections. They all deal with a specific topic and structure each issue, but not consistently. For example, older editions say Sponge Puzzles, not SpongeBob Puzzles. In the later editions prior to 2014, the main focus was riddles.
There are the following sections:
- Inside: Preview of the magazine.
- World: Characters are described and the world of Bikini Bottom is covered .
- Poster: A poster, often printed on both sides, consists only of several figures, a background and a lettering.
- Comic: There's a comic here. As of the first edition in 2011, there are no more comics, but "orders." There an episode is retold in writing and provided with pictures from this episode.
- Heroes: A double page gag with comics, similar to the SpongeBob world.
- Competition: A competition in which you have to answer a question about the comic in the booklet.
- Bobereien: A pure gag page.
- Fans: Fans can post pictures or questions they have made themselves.
- Current: Short-lived series showing various topics about bikini bottom.
- Knowledge: A rather short-lived series in which Mrs. Puff explains the nature of bikini bottom. Mostly with excerpts from episodes .
- Puzzles: Gag puzzles that are hardly solvable, illogical or too easy. All puzzles are stupidly commented by Patrick .
- Stories: A couple of stories where the reader has to guess whether they are true or made up. This topic no longer exists in the newer editions.
- Next: Preview of the next issue and solutions to the puzzles.
Reception
The price was initially 2.30 euros and had risen to 3.20 euros by October 2014. The circulation of the first edition was around 130,000 copies, the sold circulation in 2010 averaged 90,000 copies, while by 2014 the print run had dropped to around 40,000 copies. The target group is between four and nine years of age, with around 75% of the magazine's readership being boys. A total of 300,000 to 350,000 people read each issue.[citation needed]
The booklet has a format of 208 mm by 278 mm. A full-page advertisement costs 6,400 euros (as of October 2014).

SpongeBlogger was an official[1] Blogger site made to promote The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, launched in April 2004.[2] The site had a small number of users who would regularly discuss and "uncover" aspects of the film. Although presented as a fan blog, the site was officially created by Nickelodeon[note 1], and most of the interactions and users were likely fabricated to generate publicity and reveal aspects of the movie.
About
NOTE: This section describes interactions and content from the site, which was fictional and crafted for marketing purposes.
Premise
The blog was said to have been created by Randy and Shelly, two avid SpongeBob fans who went under the pseudonyms "RandyBob" and "ShellyPants" on the site.[3] The duo had previously appeared in one of the SpongeBob SuperFans shorts to promote the movie.
Users of the site regularly blogged and generated hype for the film leading up to its release on November 19, 2004. They would regularly gossip, speculate, and uncover leaked and insider information about the film. One user, PlankTom, who was portrayed as an insider working for Paramount Pictures, would post leaked information about the film, including a scan of the script that revealed David Hasselhoff's inclusion. SeeAnEnemy, who was presented as a hacker, "hacked" the site, claiming to have monitored transmissions between Peanutworm[note 2] and Nickelodeon, intercepting reliable data revealing that "GARY SPEAKS IN THE MOVIE." SeeAnEnemy also credited themselves for the hack of SpongeBobMovie.com (see below).
SpongeBobMovie.com hack
A staged hack of the film's official website, SpongeBobMovie.com, occurred in November 2004. In a blog post, SeeAnEnemy credited themselves as the culprit, saying that their "hacking skills are no FUTON."[4] The explore Bikini Bottom portion of the site featured an image of the initials "SB" (short for SpongeBlogger) glitching across the screen. Clicking on it triggered a glitchy screen effect and redirected the user to SpongeBlogger.
