Upon placing it on Patrick's head, he suddenly becomes intelligent. Near the end of the episode, Patrick recreates his previous actions and discovers his missing piece and SpongeBob learns what he picked up was the coral. It looks like a pink triangle-shaped rock and can greatly increase the intelligence of whoever wears it.
Role in the episode
After Patrick falls off a cliff and part of his head falls off, SpongeBob finds a piece of brain coral and mistakes it for the missing head piece.
