Brain coral
Brain coral is a type of brain matter coral. It appears in the episode "Patrick SmartPants" and can be found in Brain Coral Fields.
Description
It looks like a pink triangle-shaped rock and can greatly increase the intelligence of whoever wears it.
Role in the episode
After Patrick falls off a cliff and part of his head falls off, SpongeBob finds a piece of brain coral and mistakes it for the missing head piece. Upon placing it on Patrick's head, he suddenly becomes intelligent. Near the end of the episode, Patrick recreates his previous actions and discovers his missing piece and SpongeBob learns what he picked up was the coral. Patrick then removes the coral and returns to normal.

- There is a real-life coral called brain coral, although it looks completely different.
