Baby Booms are jelly creatures that appear as enemies in the video game The Cosmic Shake.

Description

Baby Booms are chubby purple baby-like creatures with one eye and a blue hairband. They're seen riding on a unicycle, wearing a duck floatie, and holding a giant lollipop that has a bite taken out of it.

Role in game

Baby Booms are uncommon enemies that first appear at Pirate Goo Lagoon, where the player must save Template:Data:Links from a pair of Baby Booms. They hover above the ground and are able to attack Template:Data:Links from a great distance, able to throw bombs at SpongeBob that loosely home in on his location as they soar through the air.

The bombs are easy enough to dodge since they don't seek SpongeBob out very aggressively, but a spin attack can send them flying back to the Baby Boom that threw it. This is the most preferable way to deal with Baby Booms, as they actively try to stay away from SpongeBob if he gets close to them, and they can use their lollipops to deflect SpongeBob's bubbles. They take two hits to defeat.

Trivia

• Baby Booms are similar to Chucks from Battle for Bikini Bottom, since both enemies float in the air and attack with explosives.
• The Cosmic Shake has two achievements involving Baby Booms:
  • The first, called Volley King, requires the player to defeat ten Baby Booms by deflecting their own bombs at them.
  • The second, called Friendly Fire, requires the player to defeat a Big Jelly using a Baby Boom's projectile.
